Free training and event for 7-16 year olds
The Specsavers Surrey Youth Games (SSYG) is a multi-sport, physical activity festival for young people in Surrey. It aims to engage young people who are beginners to activity or who may not have had the access or opportunity to take part in clubs before.
Young people aged 7-16 years old who live or go to school in the Borough can register to try one of the various activities on offer. They will receive 6-8 weeks of free training by a qualified coach at a local club, before representing Epsom & Ewell at the event.
Training sessions will take place across the borough from mid-April 2023, prior to the event at Surrey Sports Park in Guildford on 17th June 2023.
SSYG is strongly aimed at beginners who might not otherwise get the chance to attend clubs or are put off by the thought of initially competing against others. The focus of the training and the event in June is on joining in, having a go and having fun.
